In the 1993 Kentucky basketball season, the Wildcats, coached by Rick Pitino, had a record of 30-4. The team was led by future NBA players Jamal Mashburn and Travis Ford.
Kentucky won the SEC championship and earned a #1 seed in the NCAA tournament. They advanced to the Final Four, but were defeated by the Michigan Wolverines in the national semifinals.
Despite falling short of a national championship, the 1993 Kentucky basketball team is still remembered as one of the best in program history.
